Dear Christian,
At the moment I am filming with a sony HDR-HC1 camera with an Amphibico housing. I am looking into buying a SLR camera (Canon EOS 7D). I still have some doubts moving from a camcorder to a SLR camera for filming. One of my doubts are the focussing underwater with low lights. What is your experience?
Kind regards, John Debouille
Dear John,
first sorry for my late reply but we just returned from our last journey.
Low Light focus has been no issue for me so far. But there is another thing you have to take into account.
There is no continuing AF. Before you start a scene you focus with a buttonpress and start filming.
That is a total different approach and you have to take care of a proper aperture all the time.
In my opinion it is worth the hassle but that is not everyones point of view.
Hope I could help!?
Chris
